I have spent all my working life in the hospitality industry, running hotels, pubs and restaurants. I have spent the last eight years as Head Butler to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire at Chatsworth House. During that time I have looked after most members of our Royal family and met some very interesting people. I had always wanted to run my own bed and breakfast and when Fern Bank became available I made the decision and a year later, house totally refurbished we were open! Who could believe that this year sees the beginning of our 5th year, it’s gone so fast. We’ve met so many fantastic people, (many of whom return regularly to see us) and we’ve made lots of four legged friends! We are still loving what we do
