The 19th-century Fernbank House is set just 5 minutes’ walk from Aberfeldy’s historic village centre. It provides free Wi-Fi, Yoga and bright rooms, just 100 yards from the River Tay.
Rooms at this 4-star guest house have traditional décor, each featuring a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Every room also has a private bathroom, a hairdryer, and free tea and coffee.
The breakfast includes sausages and haggis supplied by a local butcher. Guests also have freshly made pancakes and fresh coffee, with special diets also catered for.
One of Fernbanks owners, Tina, can offer guests personal Yoga sessions, in the onsite Yoga studio. Her husband, Jason, can guide you down the River Tay, in a canoe, to see the varied local wildlife.
Set in the Scottish Highlands, Taymouth Castle is 5 miles from the house. Aberfeldy Golf Course is 5 minutes’ walk away whilst Gleneagles, home of the 2014 Ryder Cup, is a 30-minute drive.
We are located at the quiet Western boundary of Aberfeldy's centre. Within easy walking distance of all the attractions, restaurants and pubs in the Town. A large comfortable Victorian Villa, which has recently undergone a 17 week renovation. All the rooms are a good size with large en-suites. 5 rooms have a bath and shower, with 1 having a walk-in shower. As a young outdoor loving family, we are happy to assist in advising all guests on local walks, biking routes and other attractions. A Fernbank we have a private Yoga studio, where guests can book sessions with Tina. We also have a private Sauna. Peddle Mountain Bikes, e-bikes (electric assisted) and sporting equipment can be hired. We are also able to book on your behalf tickets for Dewars Whisky Distillery tours, Bungee and Quad biking locally, Highland Safari tours and Beyond Adventure Canoe and Kayak experiences. Our family have a passion for the outdoors and gain fulfilment and joy from ensuring your stay with us is special. Jason runs an outdoor company, Beyond Adventure and likes to help people gain access to the joys of paddling, walking and climbing locally. Tina, as a Yoga coach and mother is passionate about practising her craft and enjoying time with family and friends. Please feel free to join us, should you wish t sample the great outdoors, or just explore the joys and enlightenment yoga offers. We will often be found walking our Little Jack Russell dog, Pebbles, usually before doing the breakfasts for guests. We are keen walkers and with such lovely areas around here in Aberfeldy, we are spoilt for choice. We have busy lives, with 2 teenage children, although allways make time to enjoy where we live and what makes us happy.
We are a small town with 10 restaurants and 3 pubs and one take-away fish and chip shop, the local Indian restaurant is particularly good with people travelling for miles to eat there. Our local shops stock local produce. We have local artists showing in their own shops, shoe shops, cafes and clothes shops. As well as the famous Watermill, which has books, paintings and a fabulous coffee shop. The Highland Safari, just 5 miles from us, is an excellent stop to feed the dear and take a trip up into the hills to see the wildlife. Their café on site serves an excellent lunch, a favourite for when my children come home to visit as well as any of my visiting friends. We have numerous outdoor activity centres for kayaking, canoeing, cycling, horseriding as well as walking and munroe bagging and of course golfing.
