Gardeners Cottage was built in 1847 as the Gardeners residence to Burton Closes mansion nearby. The original cottage has been lovingly extended using reclaimed stone to create one of Bakewell's principal homes standing overlooking the Wye Valley. This period residence nestles in over 4 acres of private woodland and gardens and has stunning views over the Wye Valley. The gardens still have some of the original fruit trees and the grounds are home to badgers and Foxes, badger watching on a summers evenings is available for guests on request.

Ivan and Francesca are the proud proprietors of Gardeners Cottage. They have experience in hospitality and have created a relaxed atmosphere at Gardener's so guests feel like they are at home and can unwind in the tranquil yet luxurious surroundings.

Bakewell is an ancient market town known as the 'Capital of the Peaks' and sits in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park. Straddling the river Wye, this ancient town is the largest in the Peak Park. Next door is Chatsworth House the seat of the Dukes of Devonshire and the third most visited stately home in the UK.
