Green Dragon was a pub in 1603 according to the register...it stopped being a pub in 1956. There is just the ONE ROOM with en- suite (Shower and Toilet )..but you can use the lounge on the first floor to relax in and watch TV, as well as the kookey hindu kitchen downstairs, if you would rather buy a take away bring it back and eat in. This is a Home which we love sharing with our guests, and NOT a Hotel. If you want a Hotel book elsewhere please. We have Wi- Fi and a DVD only TV in the guest room...a choice from about 1000 films. But why watch films! Ludlow is just great ! You will be situated in the centre of Ludlow, 5 minutes from the Castle and 5 minutes from the Railway Station. We can usually sort out free parking opposite. Once parked up there are lots of Lovely Public Houses as well as Independent Restaurants in easy walking distance. Nearest Pub is 2 minutes away. The Green Dragon is in the thick off it! If a Cigarette is your desire you can smoke outside under the passageway, where the horses used to come through! All our guests to date think we are welcoming and a little eccentric...so come and join us. Please be aware when booking that its adults only thankyou.
Hi I am Suzie, Pauls partner. I look after the BnB....I love it! Paul is a hippy Pharmacist, he looks after peoples health. We both really enjoy meeting people, so we want you to relax. If you want to hide away you can, but if you want to we can show and tell you where to go and what to see. We are into movies and music, books and food, which we grow on the allotment. Oh yes...and an occasional libation. . And remember Party on down Dude, but be excellent to each other!
LUDLOW is a fantastic place. You can enjoy local food and drink for which we are rightly famous for. You can take a lovely river walk along the Bread Walk. Whilst we certainly have the dearer Restaurants for that special treat ...personally I would recommend the local value places like Aragons, The Olive Branch, The Chaing Tai or The French Pantry to name but a few. You can take a walk to the top of St Lawrences Church for a really panoramic look at Ludlow , or you can wander around the outside of the Castle to take in the tranquillity and beauty that surrounds you. Most of Ludlows centre, where the Green Dragon is, still has its uncluttered Medieval boundaries...the later developments protrude to one side like Halleys Comet, leaving Ludlow unspoilt. So sunshine, windy or rainy anytime of the year there is plenty to enjoy here.
