South Pool is easy to reach from anywhere in South Devon, being two miles from the A379 at Frogmore. With public footpaths through stunning countryside connecting different parts of the village, it makes a nice location to explore on foot, either after arriving by car or perhaps mooring a boat on the pontoon. South Pool is surrounded by enchanting countryside and coastal walks; you can easily pick up the South West Coast Path and follow the sandy shores to the majestic clifftops of Portlemouth Down where the trail weaves and undulates towards Prawle Point, Devon’s southernmost headland. Further inland lies Charleton Marsh – a spectacular nature reserve – and the sleepy shores of Frogmore Creek.
