Dollis Hill area is a multi-ethnic residential district situated between Neasden and Cricklewood, once known as Dollar's Hill. It is in the London Borough of Brent, close to Willesden Green. The Dollis Hill name may be of 16th- century origin, and connected with a family called Dalley. Our holiday apartments in Dollis Hill are located just 5 minutes far from the Dollis Hill Tube Station on the Jubilee Line. The underground provides a good link to Central London. Around the Station, Edwardian terraced and 1920s/30s semi-detached houses were built and the area has grown very fast. Dollis Hill played a part in the Second World War as the code-breaking computer used at Bletchley Park was built at the Post Office Research Station in Dollis Hill and the rarely used alternative Cabinet War Room bunker for Winston Churchill's government was dug underground here. In 1934, the Post Office Engineering research station opened in Brook Road. Two War Cabinet meetings were held in the bomb- proofed basement of an outbuilding here and Winston Churchill briefly retained a flat at nearby Neville’s Court.
