Llanfechell is a small village situated one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The ancient Parys mountain copper mines are seven miles away, with their lunar-like landscape and the area is popular thanks to the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the several ancient monuments scattered around, reputed to be some of the oldest in the world. Llanfechell is home to a village pub, which serves traditional ale with a warm welcome. Nearby, the seaside village of Cemaes Bay has three pubs, a few shops, a harbour and a sandy Blue Flag beach, edged by grassy cliffs and ideal for safe bathing and family fun.
