Harbour View is a modern first apartment in Newcastle on the older quieter area of the town. It has a large living room and fully equipped kitchenette. It has a lift and stairs giving access to the first floor and there is one private parking space on the ground floor. There are two good sized bedrooms, the first with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has an ensuite shower and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It is large enough for a cot (if you need one just ask). There is a separate modern family bathroom. The living room has a comfy sofa and two arm chairs. And as well as the TV there is a radio and wi fi. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, washer dryer, toaster and kettle. There is a separate dining table. Off the living room is a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the ocean with beautiful views out to Murlough beach and towards St. Johns point. This catches the sun rise in the morning. The harbour is right beside us.

Hello, my name is Deirdre, I have just retired with my husband Paul, we live in Newcastle and I am so excited to be able to let our lovely apartment. This is our first time letting the apartment out to paying guests. We both love meeting people and while I am an avid reader (retired librarian) Paul is much more into outdoor stuff such as walking and cycling. Our aim is to give you as much help as possible to get you settled in, we hope to meet you on arrival.

Newcastle can be a very busy town in the summer with loads to see and do. It is about 45 minutes drive from Belfast. The apartment is opposite the Harbour Inn hotel serving great food and drink everyday. 100 metres away is Mackens pub, here too the food and drink are great and there is live folk music and sessions a few times a week. There are a couple of cafes beside us and a convenience store opened early and closing most evenings around 8pm. The walk into the town centre is about 1km along the coast road and in the town there are a host of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops as well as the promenade, beaches & kids attractions. Wild swimming takes place opposite the apartment every day from the harbour and fishing is very close by. There is a lovely shallow tidal beach and at low tide its possible to walk to Dundrum 8km (5miles) away. The Granite trail starts about 100 metres from the apartment and gives access to wonderful walks into the mountains either from the trail or Donard Park to the summit of Slieve Donard, the tallest mountain in the North. Then there is great golf, the High Mournes drive, cycling, horse riding nearby & tennis in the local park.
