The Hayloft is the top part of an historic stables building that dates back to 1400s. It was converted in 2015 along with the downstairs property, Old Stables, to provide short term accommodation. It is set back from the road, next to the owner's farmhouse down a private drive with electric gates. Surrounded by farmland, trees and a brook, this is a quiet peaceful and beautiful location.

Alison has owned and lived at Laybrook Farmhouse for 20 years. She is a native of West Sussex although has lived in London, India, Australia and New Zealand. She lives with her vet daughter Sophie, and her horses, and her Bedlington terrier dog Sonic.

Thakeham village is just half a mile as the crow flies! It is a quintessentially English village with one street, old church, village school and a pub, which serves great food. There is a brilliant walk from the farm to the village, with a spectacular view from the ridge. The South Downs National Park is close by and ramblers can walk there on the many footpaths which wind through the countryside.
