Do you ever wish you had some friends with a stylish country house in a beautiful part of the south coast, friends who know all the best local walks, beaches, cycle routes, villages and country pubs? Well, now you do!
There are so many great days out on Exmoor, with a wide choice of activities and interests to enjoy. Excellent walking, cycling, horse riding or canoeing. Try your hand at flying a falcon, fishing for trout, or learning to climb. Spend the day with wildlife experts on an Exmoor guided safari or, at night, go star gazing in one of England's few designated 'dark sky' zones. Head north on the short drive towards the coast and the more adventurous might want to give coasteering a go or enrol at one of the many surf schools. Or simply lie on the beach and soak up the sun. Hire bicycles in Barnstaple and potter along the coast to Bideford on the cycle-friendly Tarka Trail. There are plenty of local attractions nearby. Only ten minutes away by car is the attractive market town of South Molton with its popular twice-weekly pannier market, great food shops, cafés and the famous Quince Honey Farm. And there are plenty of gardens to visit too including the RHS' Rosemoor garden and Castle Hill.
