Heatherlie House is located in the picturesque town of Selkirk in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The elegant Victorian mansion is set within 2 acres of wooded grounds and perfectly located for some of the best fishing and golfing in Scotland. Selkirk is a prominent stop on the famous 'Abbey Way' that takes walkers on a tour of the famous Abbeys of the Scottish Borders. The House consists of 7 bedrooms all of which are spacious and comfortably decorated . All have en suite shower rooms. For the adventurous, the river Tweed is one of the best fishing experiences in Scotland. In Autumn, the river is full of salmon, wild Atlantic salmon and sea trout. The tranquil Scottish countryside boasts a dramatic history, and you will be spoilt for choice when exploring this part of Scotland. For example, Abbotsford House near Melrose was the home of Sir Walter Scott, which boasts a fascinating collections from Scott’s renowned library, overlooking Scotts Regency gardens and the river Tweed. Traquair House dates back to 1107, and is Scotland’s oldest inhabited house and is still a family home, with associations to Mary Queen of Scots and the Jacobites.
