Heritage House is a perfect rural retreat for two with accommodation on the first and second floors. This tastefully converted Grade II listed building retains many if not all of its original features including original beams throughout the property. On the ground floor is a delightful independently run pizzeria "Doughboys" providing home-made pizzas to order, open all year round. Access to the rooms is via the courtyard to the rear of the property. The king size and twin beds are extra long. The rooms are warm and carpeted, with bedside units, wardrobe TV and tea making facilities. There is an ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower in all rooms and a bathtub in the deluxe rooms. The property sits on Kington High Street in the middle of this quaint little market town providing necessary shopping, craft and gift shops and a variety of welcoming coffee shops, pubs and restaurants.
Hergest Ridge where the Offa's Dyke Trail runs is nearby along with a network of well waymarked footpaths - a great centre for walkers and hikers. The walking festival takes place every year in September following trails throughout the spectacular countryside around this area. Hergest Croft gardens are within walking distance providing a great opportunity to wander around and see the Rhododendrons and Azaleas flowering in the Spring and admire the changing colours during the seasons. Kington itself boasts the highest golf course in England The Small Breeds Owl and Farm park is nearby and is one of the country's top attractions. The Black and White villages of Herefordshire are a few minutes drive away seemingly taking you back in time 100s of years. Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, with its famous book festivals and Ludlow are all within half an hour's drive from Kington. As well as the good facilities mentioned, there are many top dining pubs and restaurants within a few miles of the town, including the Michelin star rated Stagg Inn at Titley.
