Hello there we are Nicky, little Lily and Nic Andela…. Nic is from the Republic of South Africa and works as an Anaesthetist & Intensivist and I am from England and work as a physiotherapist in Westminster, London. We both work and live in London and our biggest love is traveling, cycling, skiing and spending quality time with our seven year old daughter Lily. We have had a great time living on the South Quay Docks and enjoy being close to the River Thames, Rotherhithe Village and Greenwich. In 2013 we completed our 4x4 overland trip from here in London UK to Johannesburg South Africa and had a fabulous 5 months driving through Europe, Middle East and East Africa with our then 2 year old daughter. We believe in living life and ceasing opportunities when they turn up!
The property is a one minute walk from the Canada Water station on the Jubilee line where you can get to the Central London West End, Tower Bridge and Stratford within ten to fifteen minutes. The house is five minute walk from the River Thames where you can view the iconic Tower Bridge. The Mayflower pub is only a six minute walk away on the banks of the Thames river. Theres a very interesting history where in the year 1620 in the month of July, the Mayflower sailing boat took on board 65 passengers from its London homeport of Rotherhithe on the River Thames. On the eleventh of November 1620 strong winter seas forced the Rotherhithe captain to anchor at Cape Cod, much further North than the original destination of Virginia. This was where the first founding pilgrims made their maiden journey to the United States of America. The Brunel museum was one of the first tunnels under the Thames river i.e. under water, this is next to the Mayflower pub. also a great attraction. The Greenwich Meridian is also in walking distance. The Jubilee tune line will take you east and west areas of London where the Overland line will take you north and south London.
