Hill Top Cottage has bright, pleasant décor and a spacious lounge with a flat-screen TV and a sofa. The kitchen comes with a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, oven and a hob. The property includes 1 double room and 1 double/twin room.
The surrounding moorland is ideal for hiking and there is easy access to the coast-to-coast C2C cycle route.
Durham and Carlisle can be reached in just over an hour by car. The beautiful Lake District is less than 30 miles away.
Situated on the southern flank of Killhope Law, this miner’s/farmer’s cottage is located at around 1800ft (550 meters) above sea level, making it the highest altitude accommodation property in the country. Power The cottage is "off the grid", electricity is provided by solar panels, a wind turbine, and a backup diesel generator if this is insufficient.
