Holly Cottage is a delightful cosy cottage built from classic Cotswold stone and set in the picturesque village of Ampney Crucis on the outskirts of Cirencester, the "capital of the Cotswolds". This stylish bolthole features a wood burning stove, a gloriously light-filled oak beamed sun room, luxurious beds and a south facing enclosed garden, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.

The village of Ampney Crucis is the largest of three "Ampneys" named after the brook of that name. The village has a history dating back to the roman times, with many buildings bearing an historic designation. Within the village the Holy Rood Church, well known for its 15th Century cross in the churchyard, is almost hidden by trees. There are also two former water mills and riverside hotel. Three miles away is the market town of Cirencester with its many shops, bars and cafes. Famously known as the capital of the Cotswolds, the iconic market square is instantly recognised by the impressive church that towers over it. The Falcon Inn at Poulton offers a vast amount of local ales, spirits and fresh homemade food. Boats can be hired from Cotswold boat hire in Lechlade (11 miles). Other points of interest within easy reach include Westonbirt Arboretum (20 miles), Tetbury (15 miles), Bibury (10 miles), Slad Valley (10 miles) and the Royal Agricultural College (five miles).
