Holt House, situated within the South Downs National Park at Washington offers travellers, walkers and cyclists a wonderful place to rest after a vigerous day. Horses are welcome to stay in a field close by. We have parking outside the house and there are good bus services to take you about. Easy road access for the A24 and A283, but it is very quiet here and we have good pub The Frankland Arms about 2 minutes away for meals and drinks. Genial host serves good breakfasts in farmhouse kitchen with last orders at 8.30 am, and from as early as you want. Pack lunch available and evening meal if wanted. Variable rates for longer stays which could suit someone working away from home. Lovely country side, National Trust Houses and only 20 minutes across the Downs to the coast and all the attractions.

You will receive a warm welcome here at Holt House. I have been involved with equestrianism for most of my life but no longer have my own horses. I am interested in people and enjoy being in the kitchen and making lovely things to eat. I am a great walker and have a small dog to keep me company. The Downs are right here in Washington so I have the advantage of both directions to explore. Holt House is also close to Wiston Estate where some festivals take place in the summer. Lots to see and do and many local food festivals and events. Hickested about half an hour away. The Coast 20mins. Goodwood half an hour on good days but easily accessable for the wonderful Speed Festival and The revival Meeting
