This 3 storey Victorian house has lots of light, original features, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen and sunny garden. Sleeps up to 10 plus a cot for baby. Essentials, linen, towels, TV & WiFi provided. Excellent connections to all of London. Many amenities, cafes, pubs, art galleries, parks & museums nearby. There is a separate living/reception room with 2 sofas, a coffee table, a flat-screen TV and a decorative fireplace. In this room there is a work-space with writing desk and bookcases with DVDs, books and games for guests to enjoy. The second living room consists of an L-shaped sofa, a flat-screen TV and a breakfast area for 4 guests. The dining room is fitted with a large dining table and can seat up to 8 guests. This unique house is located in the historic village of Sydenham in South-East London, famous in the 1640’s when springs of water in Wells Park were discovered to have medicinal properties, attracting crowds of people. The area was also home to Lionel Logue, the Australian speech therapist who “saved the British monarchy” as described in the book and 2011 Oscar-winning film “The King’s Speech”.
