Hunters Croft is located in a countryside situation surrounded by fields, with our own chicken, guinea fowl, turkeys and fostered lambs. Hunters Croft is 250 years old at it's heart, having been sympathetically extended and modernised with all the conveniences you could require including baths and showers in two of our en-suites and a large shower in the third, a conservatory where breakfast is served to give you the very best views across the paddocks. We are delighted to serve our own eggs at breakfast, complimented by home made preserves, bread and locally sourced dry cured bacon & sausages. Special diets are accommodated by prior arrangement. We are on the B3055 without footpaths, so a car is a necessity to reach either of the three local public houses, we have ample car parking and cycle storage on site.
Stephanie and John enjoy looking after their guests, Stephanie has a background in food technology. We both enjoy serving superior quality ingredients in breakfasts and welcome tea & home-made cakes. Our knowledge of the area is extensive having lived in the New Forest for many years running both a guest houses and hotel, customer service is very much our main priority and like to help our guests wherever possible.
Sway boasts the tallest concrete non re-enforced structure in the world, this can be seen from our conservatory and serves as a prominent landmark. Sway is a small vibrant village which boasts a superb pub/restaurant called the Silver Hind and two lovely country pubs called the Hare & Hounds and the Plough, along with a main line railway station from which you can easily access both Southampton and Bournemouth alike.
