SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: We want our guests to feel at home and have taken every opportunity to ensure that this is a safe and welcoming environment. Cleanliness is one of our strengths. We thoroughly clean and sanitise the apartment between stays, carrying out quality checks before every arrival. From Fairtrade sugar to bamboo toilet paper, we take pride in providing our guests with ethically sourced, environmentally friendly, products that are good for you, and our planet. All of the products provided in your apartment are free from animal products and have not been tested on animals. LOCAL & INDEPENDENT: As a local independent business it is important to us that we support other local independents. York, and Yorkshire, just wouldn’t be the same without them. In the apartment you will find top tips for our favourite independents, along with the Indy York City Map so that you can find your own favourites along the way. We like to provide you with those extra treats that make a break that bit more memorable, with a unique, custom blend, chocolate orange tea, from Birdhouse Tea Company, and single origin speciality coffees from North Star Coffee Roasters.
ABOUT US: Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, we wanted to create a space that we would want to stay in. As vegans, and beer lovers, we have always found ourselves straying from the well trodden tourist path in search of local food and drink experiences. We love to walk the backstreets of great cities and discover their forgotten corners. Our aim is to create a base that will help others to discover a ‘locals’ York. A York of snickleways, hidden treasures, and spectacular views. We hope you enjoy ‘our’ York.
