Jackdaw Lodge is an elegant, classic cabin situated in a private estate in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It’s a fantastic place for a family holiday full of Scottish Highlands views and exploring countryside trails.
The neighbourhood The private estate on which Jackdaw Lodge is located offers a wide array of outdoor activities, including free use of bikes to explore the numerous trails. Rowing boats and kayaks are also available so you can get out on the water, with the ruined castle located on an island in Loch Dochart being a popular place to visit. If you’re keen on fishing there is excellent wild salmon and trout to be caught (in season) on the lochs and river that flow through the estate. There is also a games room with pool table and table tennis, as well as a small gym and a visitor centre with a small shop selling essentials, freshly prepared ready-made meals and local meats – ideal for an impromptu barbecue. Nearby in Crianlarich village, you will find a small selection of amenities including a village store, butcher, tea room and pub. About a 20-minute drive away is the Falls of Dochart which is a lovely spot for a walk and a picnic, which can be combined with a visit to Moirlanich Longhouse nearby.
