Clunie is a delightful fully renovated cottage just on the outskirts of the famous town of Dumfries. This is an ideal location to stay with trout fishing directly opposite, numerous wooded walks, 7 stanes mountain biking, spoilt for choice as to which beach we visit. We offer traditional cooked breakfast, fresh free range eggs from our own lovely ladies. Clunie has stunning views that you never tire from. Washing and drying area available for those active days. We want to make you feel at home. Free WiFi. Private bathroom. The space Clunie is fully enclosed and has a private entrance. We do have a goose called cous cous and some chickens. We also have an orchard which you are more than welcome to pick some for a picnic. I am happy to make up a picnic for your day at an extra cost. I can also provide an evening meal at an extra cost, prior notice for this please. Breakfast can be continental which is included in the price or a full Scottish breakfast. Strict social distancing will be in place and all areas will be fully deep cleaned after every guest. We would also ask that you too sanitize prior to coming back in to the house using the laundry facilities.

Hi I have worked in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry up until last year. I have always wanted to start my own B&B but never had the opportunity. We bought Clunie in February last year, she needed a lot of work done, everything has either been replaced or installed, so she is now a beautiful warm cozy home and ready to share with our guests. I love having people to stay and and I really enjoy making their visits special, I do an amazing cooked breakfast and happy to assist my guests with any local amenities and activities. 10 minutes walk from Clunie is Kilnford farm shop. It has an amazing restaurant/ coffee shop and superb local produce. Alderneuk Trout Fishery is directly opposite with fishing from 8am to dusk. Dumfries is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near the mouth of the River Nith into the Solway Firth. Dumfries is the traditional county town of the historic county of Dumfriesshire. Dumfries is nicknamed Queen of the South. The nickname has also given name to the town's professional football club. People from Dumfries are known colloquially in Scots language as Doonhamers. Getting around Dumfries royal infirmary is 5 minutes drive where this is a bus stop that will take you to where ever you would like to go. There are plenty of taxi as well.
