Kinloch Cottage is set in a 70 acre working sheep farm. Situated right on the western edge of the Brechfa Forest with a gate immediately off a hayfield into the forest, there are many walking, running and mountain biking trails to enjoy. The original part of the cottage is over 150 years old, whilst the additions are much younger. It is a fairly typical Welsh stone cottage. The cottage is cosy and warm in the winter with central heating provided by radiators (heated through a pellet boiler) and two soapstone stoves for additional heat if needed. There is an excellent range of books, including children's books for our younger guests to enjoy, It is a non-smoking environment. Well behaved pets are welcome in the cottage. Outside, there is a private patio and large garden area with a stream running through the garden. There is plenty of free storage for mountain bikes and other recreational equipment.
Angie and Kelvin love to welcome guests from within the UK and all over the world. Angie manages the farm with 220 sheep, and trains and competes with her dogs in sheepdog trials. She has represented Wales 9 times at her sport and captained the Welsh team at the 2017 International Sheepdog Trials. Kelvin is also a keen sheepdog triallist, having represented Wales 3 times and captained the Welsh team at the 2017 World Sheep Dog Trials.
