Kirkiland is a new, architect designed, contemporary home, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The double has a king size bed and the twin beds in the other room can be made into a super kingsize bed. There is a sofa in the twin and two lovely armchairs in the double. There is a mini fridge with fresh milk and your host will happily provide ice. We do not provide bottled water. Perthshire is famous for its water and it is plentiful and cold in the tap! There is a seating area downstairs which leads out into the garden (still under construction). Leaflets and books are available to borrow. When the garden is finished, guests will be able to relax outside. The dining room upstairs is off the main hallway and looks directly on to the west facing balcony. Breakfast can be served if weather permits. Breakfast is a speciality at Kirkland - you can see our menu in the gallery. Our full Scottish breakfast is delicious and guests also love pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and Eggs Benedict. Kirkland is a short walk from the City centre, where there is a good selection of restaurants. We are happy to make recommendations. Beautiful parks and hill walks are very close by.
Anne and David have been in the hospitality business for many years and enjoy looking after their guests. Both are knowledgeable about attractions in the area and in Scotland and enjoy helping guests make the most of their stay and their onward journeys. Kirkland is built in the garden of their previous home, an award winning guest house. Many of our guests have become regulars and we are looking forward to welcoming them to this new venture. Anne loves to cook and enjoys making delicious breakfasts. We enjoy walking and can recommend great walks both from the house and further afield. We also love to eat in our restaurants in Perth and can make recommendations there too. We enjoy our theatre and concert hall and an occasional flutter at the very popular Perth Racecourse. A little Border Terrier, Bluebell, also lives at Kirkland and loves to meet the guests.
Perth, the Gateway to the Highlands, is in the centre of Scotland and is situated on the mighty River Tay. There are shops, restaurants and cafes, a fabulous newly revamped theatre, a world class concert hall, museums, parks and beautiful walks in and around the City. Branklyn, a National Trust Garden, is a short walk from Kirkland, as is the Rodney Park with its heather gardens and sculpture trail. Very close by is Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings. The Palace itself is wonderful as are the grounds. Perth Racecourse is situated on the River Tay in the grounds of Scone Palace - a very spectacular setting. Perth has 3 golf courses in the City and there are many others close by. Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie are short car journeys away.
