Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features. There is private access to Grasmere lake-shore. Free parking is available on site.

Each of the stylish rooms has an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and luxury toiletries. Most of the rooms have lake and mountain views.

A Full English breakfast with vegetarian and healthy options is available at The Good Sport gastro-pub a short stroll away. It also offers a selection of Grasmere Brewery beers, which are brewed on-site at Lake View Country House. All guests receive a discount at The Good Sport.

Lake View Country House is situated just 4 miles from Ambleside town centre, a 20-minute drive from Windermere and a 30-minute drive from Keswick. The hotel offers a scenic location, with walking routes available from the front door.

Welcome to our boutique accommodation in the beautiful village of Grasmere. We are right in the heart of the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lake View Country House has four spacious bedrooms and three self-catering apartments. We have an acre of dog-friendly gardens, and a private access to Grasmere lake. All of our stylish rooms are en-suite, have super fast WiFi, and Smart TVs. Three of our rooms have mini-kitchens. We have several rooms suitable for larger groups and families. Our guests enjoy a 10% discount off food & drink The Good Sport, which is very close by. If you fancy breakfast: enjoy proper coffee, a traditional Full English with Cumberland sausage, as well as vegetarian and healthy options. Lunch & dinner are served from noon. The Good Sport is the tap-room for Grasmere Brewery - which is based at Lake View. All of our rooms are dog-friendly, as is The Good Sport, and there is no additional charge for dogs.

We live onsite at Lake View Country House. We are devoted Lake District lovers ourselves, and we are delighted to welcome guests to this beautiful part of the English country-side. We get out in the fells to walk as often as we can and e enjoy recommending our great local walks. We have our own young family, which means we are a treasure-trove of fantastic things for families to do nearby, whatever the weather.

Soak up the tranquility here in England's largest wilderness. We are situated in a beautiful and quiet location, at the end of a private lane, but very close to the centre of Grasmere village. There's no need to get back into your car once you are here. Grasmere has a huge array of walks, accessible from our front door, and suitable for a range of ages and abilities. There are fascinating cultural sites - such as Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum, just 5 minutes walk away from us. The village itself has a great selection of shops, tea-rooms and fabulous restaurants. There are also plenty of things to do for little ones. It really is the best place to stay in the Lake District!
