Information about the host

We are a small bed and breakfast house in a good location. 5 minutes walk to the beach and a ten minute drive to the Gosport Portsmouth ferry. We are located five minutes walk to the high street which has a good assortment of shops, tea rooms and restaurants with a price to suit all budgets. We have lots of interesting places to go for days out, be it for fun, for history lovers and of course the New Forest is not too far away. We are also in easy reach of the Isle of Wight Ferry terminal. We have five letting bedrooms 4 of which are en-suite and a twin bedded room which is not en-suite but has a private bathroom opposite the room for use by guests in that room only.

My husband and I have recently taken over this guest house after having professional careers. We stayed here ourselves on many occasions and after a three month trial several years ago decided that when it came on the market we would like to purchase it. We have upgraded the bedrooms and dining room and have hopefully kept the homely feel that made this guest house popular.

The guest house is close to the beach and is ideally situated to enjoy the small village feel whilst being close to good eating places and the local historical attractions. There is a regular bus service from just outside the house which takes you to the ferry for Portsmouth attractions and also a service to Fareham and Southampton which allows you to visit all the local areas without the need for a car.
