The apartment is perfectly located in the centre of Stowmarket, the second floor up has some VERY steep steps but the view is worth it. The layout is perfect, bedroom one end, a central kitchen and a spacious lounge. With a 1 min walk you can find great takeaways, pubs, entertainment and supermarkets. We are in the centre of town so parking is not available on the street but there are a couple of Paid car parks with lighting and security camera close by, 1 minute walk from the flat. We will meet you and carry your bags up and show you the parking.
Hi Guys Steve and Jana your hosts here, we are well travelled, especially for our wedding business over the last 25 years. For many years we visited Lake Como, Italy photographing weddings and know what couples and family like when exploring or working in a new area. On our tick list would be , your own space, kitchen to prep some food, fridge for beer and wine, walking distance to shops and train and busses to explore the area. Now semi retired we thought we would take it easy and open a Pancake cafe for the quite life. This could not be further from the truth, it has been so successful over these last four years we are manic most days. Steve still photographs and Jana runs the cafe below the apartment.
On the surface Stowmarket is not glamorous, it's a standard small town with your regular Costa, Greggs, Wetherspoons, Prezzo and Subway. What is fantastic is the Museum of East Anglia, the amazing John Peel art centre the Mix for the younger ones and the recently renovated Regal cinema. Stowmarket has a cafe revolution going on with some top class flat whites being poured and don't forget the amazing pancakes on the ground floor. You could not pick a better situated town to explore East Anglia, with a 5 min walk you are on the platform and with in an hour the train has taken you to either Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich , Colchester, or Bury St Edmunds.
