Situated in a peaceful, rural location but only 5 minutes away from the village of Llangernyw that has a pub, antique shop and post office. The churchyard is believed to have one of the oldest yew trees in Britain! Visit Gwydr Forest Park, home to a wide range of activities as well as the natural beauty and wildlife - a delight to explore on foot or by bike (undercover storage available for bikes close to the cottage). Also within easy reach is Surf Snowdonia and Bodnant Food Centre, in addition to the delightful towns of Llanrwst and Betws y Coed, the walled town of Conwy with it's splendid Castle or the traditional seaside resort of Llandudno.
The pleasant seaside town of Abergele stands on the lovely North Wales coastline and is ideally positioned between the stunning Vale of Clwyd and the lovely Conwy Valley. Renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle which overlooks the town, and its enormous sandy beach, the whole area offers safe bathing waters and excellent watersports facilities. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront, and for walking enthusiasts, the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia" are all nearby. The beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon are not to be missed, and the delightful award-winning Victorian town of Llandudno, offering quality shops, restaurants, a fantastic dry ski slope and exciting cable car rides over the Great Orme, is within easy driving distance. There is plenty to do in this wonderful region at any time of the year!
