Information about the host

A small cluster of chalets over looking Loch Broom on the famous North Coast 500 route. We are just 3 miles south of Ullapool where you will find a great selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and a large Tesco Supermarket. Our location is great for exploring the Highlands and for catching the Ferry to Isle of Lewis from Ullapool. Our Chalets are nestled onto the hillside within a forest setting with the most incredible views over Loch Broom and the surrounding mountains. They are compact & very cosy with everything you will need for a self catering holiday. There are several steps that lead up to the chalets where you will enjoy the dazzling views. The super combination of forestry, mountain and sea views will help you unwind and relax. All our chalets have names connected to animals and the nature that surround us. The Stags Rest, The Squirrels Leap and Otter's Holt have been completely refurbished therefore everything is very fresh modern and new. The Eagle Hyde, Foxes Den and Badger's Sett are our budget chalets with new bathrooms and basic kitchens with microwave hob and fridge. We're trained and following goverment guidelines on the new cleaning standards

We ( Fiona & Ian ) bought Loch Broom Chalets May 2017 and currently working our way through a refurbishment programme. There are 6 chalets available for rent and all have kitchens for a self cateirng holiday. We meet all our guests on arrival, show them around the chalet and point our how everything works. We live on site and can be contactable during your stay.

Corrieshalloch Gorge (8miles) Definatley one of the highlights A mile long gorge situated on the Droma River and 60m deep and was formed at the end of the last ice age by rapid erosion caused by meltwater. A short steep walk, which is still wheelchair-accessible, will bring you to a Victorian suspension bridge where you can gaze down over a series of crashing waterfalls cut naturally into a woodland cleft. Shearwater Cruises ( 3miles ) Ullapool Harbour Shearwater cruises offer nature & wildlife trips around Loch Broom and the Summer Isles. 1 Lael Forest Garden -Great for dog walking. In the 19th century tree hunters travelled the world collecting rare seed and planting them in arboreta – specialist tree collections – like this one.
