Information about the host

Four cosy wooden pods situated 4 miles from the village of Lairg in a rural location. The pods are heated with en-suite facilities and boast a kitchenette with everything you need for a self catering stay. Sleeping up to 4 people there is a double bed and a full sized sofa bed, bedding and towels packs are available for a small fee, giving people the option to bring their own and keep their holiday costs to a minimum. Each pod offers stunning views which can be enjoyed from their own patio area and each pod also has a fire pit so that you can enjoy the views and night sky keeping warm and cosy.

Your hosts Anita & John have always enjoyed the outdoors and love exploring the Highlands. Alongside the pods they run a small croft where they keep sheep, four highland coos (Bonnie, Fifi, Bruce and Lewis) and chickens (don't worry no noisy cockerels). You can enjoy feeding the coos or collect some fresh eggs for your breakfast. They love meeting and chatting to guests and are really happy to give recommendations for activities, routes, walks and attractions.

There are some lovely walks easily accessible from the pod field. For the more adventurous there are a number of munros (mountains over 3000ft) within an hours drive of the site. The guest information in each pod highlights a number of day trips and local attractions. We often have people using the pods as a base to explore the NC500 with most attractions within 45 miles of the site.
