Information about the host

The garden studio is directly at the bottom of our garden (a converted garage with veranda. Everything is new in the Studio! An oven, ceramic hob, microwave and refrigerator as well as very fast wifi broadband and Now TV. The studio is accessed via a garden gate so once we give you your own door key you are free to come and go as you like. In terms of the underground there are two different lines which are easy to access; the Victoria Line and the Northern Line. You can get to the Victoria Line (Brixton Station) very easily as there are 5 buses which run from the High Street to Brixton. The bus stop is 2 minutes from the Studio and as there are so many buses you never wait for literally more than 2 minutes for a bus to Brixton underground station. The other nearby stations both on the Northern Line about a 25 minute journey to London's west end; the first is Tooting Bec, which is about a 15 minute walk along the side of the common / or short bus ride door to door from our house. Then there is Balham (one station further on into the centre on the Northern line) which again is either a 25 minute walk / short bus ride door to door or train ride 1 stop away.

We are a friendly family of 6 with mum, dad and four children plus our very friendly dog Snuffles.

Streatham is about 6 miles from the centre of London, it is conveniently reached by 3 train stations (Streatham Hill (a 10-15 min ride to Victoria train station), Streatham Common and Streatham.) Mostly we use Streatham Hill which is 10 min walk up a convenient high street. The Garden Studio is 2 minutes from the Streatham High Road in a quiet residential street. Streatham High Road is a busy high street with everything you need. It has a good collection of shops and amenities: a supermarket just across the road from our house, 2 other supermarkets, several good pubs, some good restaurants, general fast food chains a Cinema (recently refurbished) and library all within 2 mins walk of the garden studio. There are 2 lovely commons (parks) at the end of our road, Tooting common, and about 10-15 mins walk Streatham Common. lots of families and dog walkers can be found on both enjoying their little oasis of green in London!
