Welcome to Lowen House, our beautiful Victorian town house set in a quiet location up the hill on the West side of a charming seaside fishing village of Looe in Cornwall. It has stunning views over the estuary and up the river valley surrounded by rolling hills. The house comes with a mix of classical and modern furnishings along with a garden lounge, perfect for a barbecue or afternoon tea. It has three comfortable bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, along with a modern bathroom complete with both a walk in shower and a bath. You can enjoy the bright lounge with comfortable sofas and views over the surrounding hills, as well as the front garden. There's also a fully fitted modern kitchen to prepare delicious meals from freshly caught fish, which are available from the quayside fishmongers. Other fresh local produce, along with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs are available in the town below just 5 minutes walk away. The house has a parking space for two smaller cars or one larger SUV.

Hi, we are Family Sibelius and this is our Cornish slice of calm with a topping of adventure. We're originally from Finland and grew up in a seaside city, so after relocating down to London from Edinburgh some six years ago we started visiting Cornwall regularly. We explored the best beaches and surfing spots, walks and sights and about a year ago decided we wanted a base of our own from which we could continue our adventures, or where we could just come and unwind after a busy week in London. Looe, which derives its name from the Cornish word ‘Logh’ meaning deep water inlet, has always been one of our favourite places in Cornwall. For us, this jaw-droppingly pretty fishing village located at the mouth of a gorgeous turquoise water inlet has it all; a beautiful sandy beach, nice tea houses to enjoy the famous Cornish cream tea and restaurants that serve fresh dishes made from local produce. From Looe onward you can find scenic walks that follow the gorgeous Cornish coastline. Everything else, from amazing surf spots to vineyards is just a short drive away.

Looe has a harbour and a long stretch of a sandy beach, framed by the famous Banjo Pier, which makes it a popular destination during the summer months. There is a seafront walkway leading away from the village to a second beach complete with tide pools and good snorkelling for the more adventurous visitors. The river estuary is also a wonderful place for paddle boarding or canoeing. The town’s many restaurants, cafes and pubs provide tastes for every palette, while the nearby vineyards offer tastings in high quality local artisan wines. From the harbour, you can embark on a fishing or pleasure boat trip. The excursion to Looe Island’s bird and wildlife sanctuary is stunning, or a ferry ride to nearby towns of Fowey and Polperro. There are also numerous scenic walks around the Looe and Polperro Heritage Coast for those who like to enjoy the nature and the beautiful views of the rugged Cornish coastline. If you're feeling energetic, you can even take on the 12-mile hike on the Coastal path all the way to Polruan, passing high above turquoise seas and white sandy beaches. Many popular surfing and diving spots are also just a short ride away.
