Beautiful period cottage just a couple of minutes walk from the beaches, bars, restaurants, galleries, pubs and shops of the bustling old fishing village of St Mawes. Relax on the large sun deck with a glass of wine, looking out at the boats across the harbour. Or recline in the cosy cottage sitting room in front of the log burner, playing a selection of board games. 60mb wifi and parking space included, as are towels and bed linen.
Fisherman's Cottage is brilliantly located in the heart of St Mawes. The sea/beach, The Rising Sun pub and Idle Rocks Hotel (boasting an excellent cocktail bar and restaurant!) are within 100 metres of the property. There are several very decent pubs and restaurants just a short walk away. An excellent mini-supermarket, Post Office, butcher, baker, pharmacy and fresh fish stall are within approximately 250 metres of the cottage. Lloyds Bank, Barclays bank (with ATM) and a small number of galleries, craft shops and clothing stores are all within a 5 minute walk. The famous St Mawes Castle, built by Henry VIII, with stunning views of Carrick Roads (the 3rd largest natural harbour in the world) is just a 10 minute walk from the cottage. There are some truly breathtaking coastal walks and views right on your doorstep.
With or without a car, there are loads of fun things to do here. The coastline on the Roseland is, without doubt, the most stunning that the British Isles has to offer (not that I'm biased or anything!). The walks are amazing. But, if walking isn't your thing, St Mawes has some great restaurants and pubs and Falmouth (just a short ferry ride) is a charming seaside town with loads to offer. There's also watersports, golf courses, tennis courts, theme parks, gardens, boat trips, the Eden Project and many more exciting things to do in the area.
