Mandalay is ideally located for walks to Stonehenge (30 mins), Durrington Walls, Woodhenge, Old Sarum, or day trips to Salisbury, Bath and Winchester. It's a ten minute walk over the River Avon, on past the Abbey, to Amesbury town centre where you can find several pubs, restaurants and takeaways, a variety of independent shops including gift shops, baker and butcher, supermarkets, bank, tourist information office and the new local museum. There are good bus links to Salisbury and the local area. The holiday home has a secure and private entrance, opening to the living room and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom, a twin bedroom with access to the garden, and a kitchen with a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Upstairs there is a further twin bedroom, a super bathroom with power shower, and a spacious double bedroom with countryside views.

The holiday let is the East wing of a 1930s house which has been lovingly redesigned and looked after by Alex, Jenny, Charlie, Molly and our 12 year old springer spaniel called Poppy. We know it's your holiday so we'll be invisible, but we live in the main part of the house and will be available if you need anything.

Family run Mandalay is within the Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage site in Amesbury, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in Great Britain (since 8820 BC). The house and garden is within Vespasian’s Camp (43 AD) in a meandering bend of the River Avon. It’s a perfect base for families, walkers, cyclists, fishermen and tourists.
