We have been open for over 5 1/2 years and are rated as one of the best B&B's on Wirral. We have numerous guests that have returned more than 5 times as they seem to love it and we enjoy seeing familiar faces that are almost regarded as friends. The advantage of being in the heart of a thriving village should not be understated and guests seem to love the fact that they have their own entrance so have round the clock access. We have updated many aspects of the garden since we opened and intend to continue this development in future.
Opening the B&B is one of the best things I have ever done. Meeting new people almost every day is very enjoyable. There are some restrictions, being a bit tied to the house however this has many compensations. It gives me more time to devote to my main hobby. As a keen Trumpet player and Band Leader I get time to develop my favourite past time.
Irby is a village of around 2500 people served by a collection of local shops, a library, 2 restaurants, 2 café's and 2 pubs. There are a host of different walks as Irby is close to 2 extensive common areas of natural beauty (Royden Park and Thurstaton Common). There is also a local park with a large children's play area and its only 1 1/2 miles to Thurstaston beach, another area of natural beauty and great walks.
