Mapperton Hill Farm, is a new large family house built in 2017, there are still many aspects of it that have to be completed, it is a house not a hotel and we only let out 1 or 2 rooms generally. The views are magnificent and it is only 1.5 miles from the A303 road to the West Country. There are lots of things to do locally like visiting Longleat Safari Park, or Stourhead House and Gardens. There are a handful of pubs within 5 miles the best being about 4 miles away. The bedroom itself belongs to our daughter who lives in Africa. Everything is disabled friendly. The bedroom is on the ground floor, the window looks out onto our vegetable garden, fields and eventually the dramatic Mere downs. We have three goats a handful of chickens and a dog. There is a little kitchenette where you can make your own breakfast, the basics (bread, milk, eggs, cereals, coffee tea)are provided but of course you can bring your own ingredients as you wish! We look forward to your visit.

We are a large family and are fairly eccentric, that has been living in this area for generations. We love music, animals and our hobbies are paragliding, tennis, riding, gardening, DIY and cooking!

The house stands on the hill with a neighboring house where my mother in law lives, we all share the garden. The town of Mere is 1 mile away and Gillingham 3 miles where there is a train station. Breakfast can be made in the kitchenette, where there will be a few necessities.
