We live in a house reported to be 500 years old! Attached to our house is the newly appointed self contained Mayflower Cottage. The cottage has its own separate entrance, living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen. There is a pretty, south facing, country garden to the back of the cottage, perfect for afternoon tea! The property lies in the heart of the village, at the end tiny dead end lane and is within walking distance of the local pub, church and community shop. Parking is on the main road.

We are James and Laura Perry. We are an Anglo-American husband and wife team and we have been in the hospitality trade for 15 years. We successfully ran a farm stay business in Vermont USA whilst raising our family, we met many interesting people from all over the world and had such fantastic reviews from them. As we are avid travelers ourselves we believe we understand what travelers expect and want out of their vacations. We now live in the absolutely beautiful South Hams area of South Devon and we cannot believe how much there is to see and do here! It is absolutely gorgeous, but the narrow twisty lanes that Devon is so famous for prevent some of the bigger bus tours from going to certain destinations. Small cars are needed and having been used to driving on these roads for many years is definitely a bonus! As local residents we know the ins and outs, we know the back roads and hard to reach places! Just let us know your dates and what you want from your trip and we can plan accordingly.

We are located in the heart of the small, quaint, working village of Blackawton just 4 miles to the sea and 4 miles to the historic habour town of Dartmouth. Totnes railway station is 20 minutes by car with high speed trains direct to London in under 3 hours. The wilds of Dartmoor are half an hour drive away.
