Melverley is a spacious bungalow in the hamlet of Crew Green, near to the rural village of Alberbury, in Wales, close to the border with Shropshire. The property sleeps six people in a king-size double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a small double bedroom and a twin bedroom (zip/link, can be super king-size double on request). There is also a spacious sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast area. Outside you will find a rear gated garden with a patio and furniture, as well as off road parking for three cars and a garage for bike, motorcycle and sports equipment storage. This delightful property is in an excellent location for exploring all that both Mid Wales and Shropshire have to offer, with Welshpool, Offa’s Dyke Path, Shrewsbury and Ludlow all within driving distance. Melverley is an excellent base for a memorable holiday all year round.
The small rural village of Alberbury sits in pretty countryside, 9 miles from Shrewsbury. There is so much to do in this area, from the ten museums of Ironbridge Gorge to the abbey, castle, shops and restaurants of Shreswbury. There are many National Trust properties within easy reach of Alberbury, including Attingham Park, Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig. Ludlow, with its castle and timbered buildings, is a lovely town for a stroll and a refreshing cream tea, or step back in time with a trip to Acton Scott Working Farm, seen on TV as The Victorian Farm.
