This is a cosy, rural cottage on a private family estate. The views are beautiful and guests are welcome to explore the gardens which include streams and woodland. Younger guests will enjoy the trail to our forest camp and are welcome to make a campfire on the site. The cottage is a lovely rural property where guests will be able to completely relax and enjoy the peaceful Devon countryside. There are two other houses on the estate but the cottage garden is private and all the bedrooms enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding hills. Please note that the garden is not secured for dogs. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with a television and comfortable sofas, a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, another large sitting room/playroom with another television with DVD player and a small downstairs loo. We have provided quite a few toys, board games, a dressing up box, DVDs and books for all ages. Upstairs has one large bedroom with a king-size bed and two smaller ones - one with a double bed and the other has a single bed with pull out single underneath. The bathroom is large with a bath and overhead shower. Outside there is a patio and garden. BBQ facilities are provided.

We are a family of four and live in another cottage on the property and my parents live in the main house. We are usually on hand to help with any requests and will be more than happy to make suggestions of what can be enjoyed in the local vicinity. But otherwise you will only see us in the parking area which is shared by the three houses.

This cottage is set in the heart of rural mid-Devon between the villages of Puddington and Pennymoor, and is an ideal getaway for anyone wanting to relax in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. For those looking to experience some local life, there is a thriving pub nearby - about a mile from the cottage - that serves basic food and a good selection of local ales. There are also plenty of other pubs slightly further afield, within 4-5 miles so please ask for recommendations. Please note that the nearest convenience shop is in Witheridge and is approx 15 minutes drive from the cottage. We are 20 minutes drive from the historic market town of Tiverton which has several shops and supermarkets, cafes, a weekly farmer's market, an interesting museum and a small one screen cinema. Slightly further afield is the small village of Bickleigh which boasts the Devon Railway Centre - a guaranteed hit for all members of the family.
