Information about the host

Moor Court Farm offers a traditional and charming stay with all the modern comforts. It’s complimented by a breakfast of your choice at a time that suits you and optional evening meals. All food is proudly produced with locally sourced ingredients. • We offer a four poster room, a double/twin room and a twin room. • All the rooms have en-suit shower rooms with a full range of toiletries. • There is a well stocked tea and coffee tray for your convenience. As the farm used to produce Hops, a main ingredient for making beer, each room is named after a hop variety. Challenger – a traditional oak four poster bed, this room overlooks the gardens that leads onto our 150 year old organic orchard and beyond the view extends the Malvern Hills. The orchard produces apples that blossoms in the spring and is harvested the autumn for a local organic cider that you are able to try yourself. Northdown – a twin room that can be linked together to make a king size double. The view is over the donkey paddock, which is often occupied by the ducks and chickens too. Fuggle – a twin room which looks out into the farmyard over the pygmy goats and pedigree sheep. This room enjoys the evening sun when it sets behind the fields in the distance. The farmhouse displays beautiful original features throughout, showing off its character and homely charm. There are some lovely places to eat offering all types of establishment’s dependant on your taste, such as good local pubs, special occasion evening meals, farm shop cafes and a range of different cuisines in Ledbury town or Hereford city. Evening meals of up to 3 courses are also available at Moor Court Farm, home cooked and locally sourced food is Elizabeth’s forte. Often meat is sourced from the farm and vegetables grown from the garden, also the licensed bar is available to serve local alcoholic flavours. Any special dietary needs can be catered for, please book evening meals in advance.

My husband and I have been welcoming guests into our home for over 30 years and it’s been a pleasure to share our charming farmhouse within its unspoilt surroundings with those that love and appreciate the countryside as much as we do. Diversification has been an essential survival factor to many farming businesses in the county. When we first opened our doors to guests we had a communal bathroom and all ate breakfast round our kitchen table. Through the years as we have developed our business it has been with the constant aim of maintaining our traditional farm working values whilst offering a more luxurious and enjoyable stay for our guests. We’ve also now extended our accommodation business to a self catering holiday cottage and glamping site with bell tents hidden in the organic orchard. We are conscious about farm sustainability and energy efficiency, and with the recent installation of a renewable energy heating system, we can comfortably open all year round. We’re very proud and grateful that Herefordshire as a county can offer such a range of quality produce and diverse activities within such an untouched and exquisite part of England.

Moor Court Farm is situation in a rural setting, however it is easily accessible from the main town of Ledbury (10mins drive) and Herefordshire city (20mins drive). Both places offer a diverse range of activities and eating places. Within the surrounding area of the countryside there are also many places of interest for example farm shops, cider tours, shopping outlets, antique dealers and galleries The river wye offers even more sporting activities for example fishing and canoeing.
