Neptune's Mooring is a fantastic fully equipped family apartment located at Banavie in Fort William, the official Outdoor Capital of the UK. The apartment sits on the banks of the world famous Caladonian Canal and overlooks the amazing flight of lock gates known as Neptune's Staircase, nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britains tallest mountain. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, an open plan living room / dining room and kitchen which contains everything you need for your stay. However, if you do not wish to do your own catering and wish to dine out there is a fabulous 4 star Hotel and restaurant directly next door. Banavie train station is a 2 minute walk along the canal where you can catch the very popular Harry Potter train to Mallaig crossing over the Glenfinnan viaduct which is a firm Hollywood favourite. Neptune's Mooring truly is a first class acommodation to base yourself when exploring the wonderful Highlands and West Coast of Scotland.

Neptune's Mooring is located in a very unique area indeed. It sits on the 5th lock gate at Neptune's Staircase which means you can watch large yachts and fishing boats navigate the 13 lock gates that pass through the Caledonian Canal. It also looks directly onto Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis as well as the ski slopes of Nevis Range. It is a fantastic base camp if you intend to walk, ski, climb or mountain bike in the Outdoor Capital. However, if you are after a more leisurely pastime you may wish to visit the Ben Nevis Distillery; the West Highland Museum; Treasures of the Earth; the Three Wise Monkeys Climbing Centre; a trip down Loch Linnhe on Souters Lass; a Gondola ride up Aonach Mor; a visit to Fort William Leisure Centre; or a round of Golf!
