The cottage is attached to Marshwood Farmhouse, a Grade II listed house dating from 17th Century. It has been tastefully renovated and furnished, giving modern comforts whilst retaining many original features. Sleeps 4 (1 double bedroom + 1 room with full-size bunk beds). Fully fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer). Lounge (TV/DVD, radio/CD player). Family bathroom (bath with shower). Travel cot, high-chair and stair gate available. 24 hour return laundry (at additional cost). Included in the rental are a selection of welcome breakfast groceries, linen and towels, heat and electric and use of a barbecue. Walkers and cyclists are well placed for the Monarchs Way and a variety of local walks and cycle routes. Marshwood Farm is a short drive from Stonehenge, Salisbury and Longleat Safari Park. With Stourhead, Shaftesbury, Bath and Glastonbury also within easy reach, along with many other National Trust and English Heritage sites.

We are the 3rd generation of the family to live and work at Marshwood Farm. Come and stay with us in our Self Catering Cottage and we will share with you our knowledge of the area and our passion for farming and conservation. Grandfather came here in the early 1940’s, as a tenant farmer. Subsequently, he purchased Marshwood at auction. Historically, as part of the tenancy, he had to have a dairy but he also kept a large flock of chickens. Now we are mainly arable with a flock of sheep, covering approximately 500 acres. Walkers and cyclists are well placed for the Monarchs Way and a variety of local walks and cycle routes. Marshwood Farm is a short drive from Stonehenge, Salisbury and Longleat Safari Park. With Stourhead, Shaftesbury, Bath and Glastonbury also within easy reach, along with many other National Trust and English Heritage sites.

We are situated on a working farm in a rural location - approximately 15 minute walk or 2 minutes by car from our nearest village Dinton.
