No 10 is our newly renovated little house on a quiet street just off the Whitstable High Street, near to the marina/harbour, with quirky shops, cafés and restaurants. It is light, bright and cosy. Easy access to seafront and beach. Please note that the stairs are quite narrow and steep particularly to the top bedroom.
I love the atmosphere of Whitstable. I grew up in Canterbury and have always loved the feel and friendliness of Whitstable. Although there are great restaurants and bars, the town retains a lovely old-fashioned ambience. There is so much to do and so many places to eat. When you are bored of Whitstable, you're bored of life!!
Whitstable is famous for its Native Oysters which were collected from beds beyond the low water mark from Roman times until the mid-20th century. This is celebrated at the annual Whitstable Oyster Festival, which takes place during the Summer. There is a wonderful harbour where you can watch the fishing process or buy fresh shellfish straight from the 'catch'. There are fabulous cafés, restaurants and 'takeaways' interspersed with quirky shops offering clothing, antiques, gifts and souvenirs. Pop onto the beach with fish and chips or head to the Neptune Pub on the beach, grab a pint and watch the sunset. I can guarantee there's plenty to do on your visit.
