We offer ONE Pet Friendly Room - a Superior Double Room - on the Entrance Level of the property, this is subject to availability & pets are accommodated on request. Please note that our Standard Double Room with Private Shower Room is NIT en-suite but has a stand alone shower room across the landing. Built circa 1890 the B&B is a Victorian Terrace that has a history of offering accommodation and breakfast to guests since 1966 when Mrs. J.P. Morcome opened her home to travellers to the city as Morcome Guest House, we will continue in this tradition of offering homely hospitality in some of the finest bed and breakfast accommodation in York. Recently acquired & refurbished, part of our ethos is that we support our local partners sourcing all of our produce & services – wherever possible – from within a 20 mile radius of York which includes all of the trades and materials used in the refurbishment.
We are also proud to be working with the Blueberry Academy who help us with our garden & planting as well as our PAT Testing. The Blueberry Academy team provide specialist support for adults with learning difficulties, developing highly innovative curriculum and services. The Blueberry Academy are at the forefront of employability and have a proven track record in developing other organisations to introduce new practice and to raise the standards of employability training.
