Information about the host

No 54 was built in the last year of the Victorian era and we have lived here for the past 37 years. During that time we have tried to restore iin keeping with its Victorian heritage but also adding modern up-to-date facilities. All rooms have ensuite digital showers however we also have a separate bathroom with a bath and an in-bath shower which can be made available exclusively for guests if required. Our two rooms can accommodate two people in each however an extra person can sometimes be accommodated if necessary ... phone to arrange.

Retired for several years, our interests in birdwatching, photographing sheds and scones, the history of Scotland and maintaining our scone blog take us all over the country and keeps us very busy. No 54 is only a few minutes walk from the town centre where there are numerous pubs,restaurants and cafés. The Falkirk Wheel is also only about 25 minutes walk away and the Kelpies are about the same. Falkirk High station is 2 minutes walk and you can catch a train every 15 minutes to Glasgow or Edinburgh (journey time about 20 minutes to either). A path network around the town provides access to almost all areas either for walking or cycling. The John Muir Way passes very close to the house.
