Offley Place is kept alive by the small but hard working team. We have the welcoming reception team on hand to answer your calls and emails as well as checking guests in and out. Our wedding and event sales team live in the office behind reception, working hard to create memorable occasions. Also in the office you will find accounts and managers! Our housekeepers spend their mornings transforming the bedrooms and communal areas until they are sparkling! Our serving staff work around the clock, ensuring the highest level of customer service is offered, nothing is too much trouble for them. On to the kitchen, we have a talented team of chefs creating wonders and dishes that look too good to eat! Our kitchen porters keep the place looking spick and span, as do our team of maintenance staff, gardeners and decorators!
Offley Place is a 17th Century manor house which has been passed from family to family throughout the years. It was for a while owned by Hertfordshire County Council until it was privately sold to the current owner who has had the house restored to its former glory. The house manages to encompass the original features whist being equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect. Offley Place serves as a fully functioning hotel, with 16 bedrooms, communal lounges, fully stocked bar with beer and ale on tap, restaurant serving delicious a la carte dishes and the recent addition of the conservatory which serves as overflow restaurant or the perfect wedding venue, There is a beautiful rose garden on the grounds which is very well kept and is also licensed for weddings. Offley Place sits on 27 acres of land and is situated in the quaint village of Great Offley. As well as the main house, there is the Roseview Suite which is a fully equipped function suite overlooking the glorious roses. All in all, there is something for everyone at Offley Place and it is well worth a visit. Offley Place is where the past and present come together in perfect harmony.
The Manor is situated in the heart of the quaint village of Great Offley. Next door to us you will find Offley Parish and the Community Centre. We are surrounded by two well-loved pubs the Red Lion and Greene Man, with Offley Oriental not far from us either. You will find Offley Stores, complete with a Post Office at the top of the road serving the local residents of Great Offley. We are just a stone's throw away from the historic market town of Hitchin, with the splendid St. Mary's Church and a lot of boutique stores. Apart from Hitchin, the nearest towns to us are Letchworth, Baldock, Stevenage and Luton.
