Ideally located for both business and leisure travellers, Oldwood Home from Home has everything you need for a short trip away and is just 5 mins drive or 15 mins walk from Livingston North train station, giving frequent access to Edinburgh Park in around 10 mins or the city centre in 20 mins. Trains to Glasgow city centre can also be boarded here and take around 45 mins. For drivers, the house comes with it's own private parking place so you can be guaranteed parking by your door at the end of a long day. The M8 motorway can be reached in around 5 mins and the M9 in 10-15 mins, allowing easy access to the central belt and many of Scotland's tourist destinations. The house comfortably sleeps 5, with a double bed in room 1, while in room 2 there is a single bed and a further bed which can either be made up as a single or a king size depending on guest's needs. Further space is provided in room 1 for a travel cot for young children and this can be supplied on request, along with a highchair if needed. The enclosed garden with seating area allows you to store your bikes, keep your dogs or kids safe or just sit and enjoy the woodland view.
I'm a well seasoned traveller, both for business and leisure trips, with a selection of some of my favourite trips being seen in the photographs adorning the walls of the house. I know what it feels like to be on the road away from home on business and wish you had just a little more comfort than a budget hotel room provides, or on a touring holiday and wish you had just that little bit of extra space to have brought your dog, or have somewhere to wash your clothes. You can have it all right here and be able to relax in a nice friendly neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle, while being only minutes away from everything you need.
Local supermarkets, pubs and food options are within easy walking distance, or for those in search of a little more variety, the town's shopping centre boasts a designer shopping outlet centre along with multiple retail outlets and food chains. National cycle network 75 runs through the area, allowing for outdoor adventures away from traffic and through some of nature's finest sights, with an outdoor adventure playground and reservoir at the end of the street allowing for fishing or feeding the ducks. 10 pin bowling, crazy mini golf, swimming pools and cinema are all minutes away for rainier days or indoor activities and of course Edinburgh city centre is less than half an hour away for all the castles, museums, festivals and nightlife that you could possibly need for one trip.
