Information about the host

One fifty is a beautiful Victorian townhouse with four comfortable and elegant B&B rooms, all individually styled and furnished with en suite bathrooms. Two rooms have a view of the sea from an elevated position. Breakfast is served in our lovely conservatory or on the terrace on warmer days.

We enjoy an outdoor life on the Isle of Wight and love to share our knowledge of cycling and walking routes with our guests as well as the many places of historic interest and outstanding natural beauty. The island is a foodie heaven with many restaurants showcasing island grown produce. There are many fabulous places to eat from seaside fish and chip shops, excellent pubs and Michelin starred restaurants and we enjoy sharing some of our favourites with our guests. During our time off we spend time at the beach - winter as well as summer, indulging our hobbies of photography, walking and cycling, and gardening is a passion when we have time!

Onefifty is a ten minute stroll directly into the centre of Cowes with its' lovely shops, award winning restaurants and friendly bars. Cowes has a long association with yachting and every weekend the town is buzzing with yacht crews, here for the many racing events held throughout the season and culminating in the famous Cowes Week regatta - the yachting and social highlight of the year, or simply enjoying the perfect sailing conditions offered by the Solent. Beautiful Osborne House, the favourite home of Queen Victoria is on the East side of the town and offers a magical day out both for the stunning house itself and the glorious gardens and beach, complete with Queen Victoria's original bathing machine! Cowes is ideally placed for enjoying the rest of the Isle of Wight - nowhere is more than a 30 minute drive away so with a car or even by bus it is easy to get a taste of the varied coastline and natural beauty the island has to offer. Easy transport links to Southampton for vehicles and foot passengers alike make Cowes a great location for visitors - a perfect starting point for exploration of our lovely island or an ideal base to enjoy the many arts and music festivals.
