Ormidale House is a stunningly beautiful property with grand rooms and extensive hallways, located in the Scottish Highlands. It is positioned near the village of Colintraive and can sleep 33 people in 13 lavish bedrooms, some of them interlinking with each other and some incorporating an en-suite bathroom. There are two grand sitting rooms and an extra sitting room with children's toys. There is also a snooker room, a hot tub, sauna and a shared swimming pool. Outside are the impressive grounds around the property offering spectacular views out over the rolling countryside. Colintraive is located on the west coast of the Cowal Peninsula, facing the Kyles of Bute. It is rather a small village, mainly comprising of the hotel with pub and restaurant and its small adjoining post office. The nearest town of notable size is Dunoon, which rests along the east coast of the peninsula, facing Gourock and the Firth of Clyde. Dunoon is the maritime gateway to Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, it is built around the historic Castle Mound and is famous for its large Victorian pier. It has cafes, shops and galleries to browse along with the Castle House Museum and the leisure centre. Dunoon provides a great base for exploring Argyll Forest Park and nearby Benmore Botanic Garden. The easily accessed roads and ferries also make it reachable to central Scotland.
