Peartree Hill is a special place where even the postman stops to admire the view. It sits in the quiet rolling countryside of County Down, you will barely believe that Peartree Hill B&B is just 20 minutes drive from the life of Belfast city centre. The house has undergone a major refurbishment to develop 3 luxury rooms and ensuites for guests to retreat, relax, rest and refresh themselves for stepping back into the busy world in which we live. You will be made very welcome here, to enjoy luxurious tranquility, relax in a beautiful room, sleep in a sumptuous bed and waken to a healthy breakfast made from home or locally produced ingredients. There is a large lounge on the upper floor, which is exclusively for guests, enjoying views right across the valley . On arrival Avril will serve you a welcome cup of coffee or tea, along with some of her own home baking, as you settle in following your journey. In colder weather throw some peat on the fire to warm your toes after a day of exploration. Scrabo Suite has been designed with those in mind who have ambulant disabilities.
Ian and Avril have always valued excellent hospitality, so like to share their home and extend the same to guests from around the world in Peartree Hill B&B. Ian is developing a new piece of land to the rear of the house growing vegetables, fruit trees and soft fruits and he is kept company by Avril's hens as they scratch around for worms and treats (sometimes they do stray into his vegetable beds or polytunnel, but please don't tell him).
Peartree Hill sits in an area of working farms with sheep, cattle and crops. Subsequently the fields are always changing whether they become filled with lambs, barley, cabbages or calves. It looks across the valley towards the landmark Scrabo Tower and the designated area of beauty Strangford Lough. There are lovely walks, a green walkway or cycle route nearby along an old railway track, beaches within 5 miles and 6 golf courses within 6 miles.
