Close by is the RSPB reserve of Coquet Island, which can be reached by boat, and is home to a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks. The coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster, boasting a selection of superb beaches, are only a short drive away, whilst Warkworth and Alnwick are also within easy reach.
